Terms of Use

This site explains what we make and how to get it: stone coated flashings, stone coated vents and the Rapid Sleeve, along with photos, videos and ways to reach us. It is written for homeowners, homeowner associations, roofing contractors and roofing distributors.

We do not sell anything online. The site has no shopping cart, no checkout, no customer accounts and no payment page, and it never asks for a card number. Nothing on these pages is an offer to sell a product at a particular price, in a particular quantity or by a particular date.

The website states no prices. Homeowners get pricing through their local roofing contractor, who can include our products in the roof job. Roofing contractors and distributors order directly from California Stone Coating by phone or email. Any sale is governed by what California Stone Coating and the buyer agree when the order is placed, not by these website terms.

Sending the contact form does not place an order, hold product for you or create a contract. It sends us a message and nothing more.

We work to describe our products accurately, but the descriptions, photos, videos and color names on this site are general information. A screen cannot show a granule finish the way daylight on a roof does, and phones and monitors display color differently, so a color you see here may not match the finished product exactly. If a color match matters for your roof, ask us about a sample before the order goes in.

We may change product details, colors or the product lineup at any time, and some pages may take longer to update than others. If something on this site conflicts with the details confirmed for a specific order, the confirmed order details control.

Nothing on this website is an offer of roofing work. We make the flashings, vents and sleeves; a roofing contractor installs them on your roof, and that contractor is responsible for the workmanship and for meeting local building requirements. Anything on this site about how our products fit or go on is general information, not instructions for a particular roof and not engineering advice. Roof work is dangerous, so if you are not a roofer, leave it to one.

California Stone Coating products are covered by a limited 25 year product warranty. The warranty terms come from California Stone Coating, not from this website. Nothing on this site creates a warranty, adds to the limited 25 year product warranty, extends it or changes its terms, and no summary on these pages takes the place of those terms. To get the warranty terms for your product, call (510) 284-2554 or email calstonecoat@gmail.com. Any warranty your roofing contractor gives on labor is between you and the contractor.

When you send us a message, give accurate contact details and share only information you have the right to share. Do not use the form to send advertising, bulk messages, harmful links or anything unlawful. The form has spam protection, so a message that looks like spam may be filtered out before it reaches us. Email can fail, so if you have not heard from us, call (510) 284-2554. How we handle what you send is explained in our privacy policy.

You agree not to try to break into, overload or interfere with this site or the systems it runs on, not to copy it in bulk with automated tools, not to pretend to be someone else when you contact us, and not to use the site for anything unlawful. We may block access from anyone who does.

The text, photos, videos, logo and product names on this site, including the California Stone Coating name and logo and the Defender Series™ name, belong to California Stone Coating or are used with permission. You may view the site, print a page or share a link for your own use, such as a roofer showing a homeowner a color. You may not copy, republish or sell our content, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you or your business, without our written permission.

This site links to our pages on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, and the videos page plays videos hosted on YouTube. Those services are run by other companies under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.

The website and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available." We work to keep the site accurate and online, but we do not promise that it will be free of errors, always available or free of harmful code. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties about the website itself, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. This disclaimer covers the website only; it does not affect the limited 25 year product warranty on our products.

To the fullest extent California law allows, California Stone Coating is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of this website, your inability to use it, or information on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any rights you have under the product warranty or California consumer protection law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute about this website will be brought in the state courts located in Alameda County, California, unless the law gives you the right to bring it somewhere else.

We may revise these terms by posting a new version on this page with a new date. The version posted when you use the site is the one that applies to that use.
