Stone Coated Vents and Flashings in Newark, CA

Newark's western edge is marsh and salt ponds, and the air that moves inland off them carries moisture and salt with it. Mornings near the water often start gray and damp, and the afternoon breeze keeps that air moving across the rooftops.

Bare galvanized metal doesn't do well in that. Neither does spray paint once it starts to peel, because the moment the paint opens up, the metal underneath sits in the same wet, salty air.
